e.
  • Question :  I have already been granted scholarship by other institution. Am I still eligible to apply to the Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Scholarship Foundation for its scholarship, too?
  • Answer :  According to the rules of the Foundation, you may be eligible even if you receive scholarship payments from other institutions. But you must be careful not all the institutions have the same rules as the Foundation. Some of the nominated universities also have their own rule to control double payments from the view point of equality among students. Therefore, when you need to receive both, you should confirm whether the other institution and your university could accept it or not. If you are an international student to study in Japan, however, you will lose your eligibility for scholarship of the Foundation when you start to receive financial aids from Japanese Government.

  • Question :  I am a senior student at present and am planning to go on to a graduate school of the same university after graduation. When I could be adopted this year, could you also continue to grant scholarship for me to study at the graduate school?
  • Answer :  The duration of scholarship of the Foundation is defined that the shortest possible period of regular enrollment up until graduation of the university where the student study. Even in the same university, to go on to a graduate school after undergraduate school or to doctor program after master program is regarded as to complete one period of study and go on to another period of study.
Therefore, if you are senior at your undergraduate school now, your scholarship grants should be finished at the end of this school year regardless of your actual date of graduation. This means, for example, in case you fail to pass for the graduation (or whatever reason it might be,) and you decide to remain at the same grade for next year, scholarships should be completed at the end of coming March in this school year. After you enter a school or a program of higher grade, you can apply for the scholarship again.
